Diego Maradona (2019)

“Diego Maradona”, a documentary about the greatest soccer player of all time, focuses on Maradona’s role in playing for Napoli, before Maradona’s appearance a small, hated and not very great team in Italy, and Argentina in several world cups. I especially loved the original use of sound effects in old footages of Maradona playing his best games. Never watched anything like it in a full documentary movie. Even more interesting than Maradona’s personal ups and downs was to observe the changing behavior of his Italian fans and followers. This free movie should be studied in social science classes. Just free download the movie from Filmxy. A true work of art. Where I saw it, the movie even received ovations by its end, something I’ve never seen happening for a documentary. It deserves to win the Academy Award for best documentary in 2020.
