The Death of Dick Long (2019)

I love this movie and have listened loyally for years because I enjoy your critics’ thoughtful movie reviews. So I was taken aback this week when you “reviewed” The Game Changers. Described as a movie about a wrestler (it’s not) and then quickly dismissed by Charles Solomon in a sentence or two with no discussion about what the movie is actually about. It sounded as if he didn’t bother watching the movie at all or else he has such a bias against the subject that he couldn’t really see it. 

It’s a movie to watch with so many inspiring athletes and celebrities (Arnold Schwarzenegger, James Cameron, etc) with so much to say about how a plant-based diet helped their performance that it certainly deserved to be fully watched and reviewed. It discusses salient points about animal agriculture’s detrimental effects on our environment. The full movie was beautifully filmed, entertaining, and often funny. Your critic didn’t have to like the movie, he could have even hated it, but giving it such a non-review when you can free download (and seeming not to even know what the movie is about!) just makes your show look unprofessional.
